Sheriff Alex Truman has a peaceful life dealing with lost dogs, trivial disputes, and a few drunks here and there. He should be the happiest lawman in the world. But there's just one small part of him that longs for some excitement, for something that would break the monotony he doesn't even realise is eating him alive.One cold November night it seems his unspoken wishes may have been granted when he’s involved in a car accident with a man who appears suddenly in the middle of the road. Alex is fine, but the man ends up in hospital with a broken leg, and several cracked ribs. Nobody knows who this guy is or where he has come from, and to make matters worse, he won’t speak. Finally the town has its first real mystery, and Alex is overjoyed. There are some bad things about this game, but in general I would still recommend it (on sale). The atmosphere is mysterious. Most of the story is delivered by text though.Thing I did not like too much is the fact that you are wandering around a lot, not knowing where to go. Sometimes items just appear at a spot were they weren't before or some doors are suddenly open. Would recommend to use a walkthrough actually. Also the voice acting is not so good.Not sure, if some of the spelling mistakes where there for a reason or not..But the story is kinda creepy, which is good. No gore or jump-scares (maybe just one) in it.. This is a low budget adventure game that somewhat works. The story is interesting but somewhat cliche, covering psycological horror and supernatural horror.I enjoyed it, but only by using a walkthrough. There were a few overly involved puzzles, that required precisely ordered steps, that became frustrating trying to solve. As well as the need sometimes to hunt through all rooms trying to find the next step to progress.I got this in a bundle so the price was right, and for that I recommend it. But you would need to be a big fan of this kind of game, convoluted puzzles, and story to pay full price.. Rather simple, but interesting. A bit back and forth, back and forth-ish.. Corrosion: Cold Winter Waiting, is a point and click horror game developed and published by Viperante.Controls:This is a POINT AND CLICK adventure, so don't expect keyboard or controller controls which is a common complaint.Gameplay: The puzzles start off mind bending than start getting very hard as the game goes on. I have a complaint about the back tracking. You have to do a lot of back tracking in this game.Story:It's not the greatest story line ever... But it is definitely not the worst either. My complaint isn't the voice acting, it's the plot holes. Some characters are mentioned and never given a proper back story.Rating?8/10 GREAT FOR A POINT AND CLICK! PICK IT UP!. There is an intesting story in here, but it's buried under perhaps the worst puzzles I've played in a point and click adventure game, and I've played most of them. Also some baffling design decisions, like a maze-like facility made up mostly of locked doors, in which occasionally a locked door randomly opens in some other part of the building away from the player, and no indication is given to the player that this has happened. The story also ends up disappointing. It starts to come together, you think maybe there will be a resolution, and then literally the words "The End" flash on the screen, and it's over. If you are going to play this, I would only do so with a walkthrough handy, and I would consult the walkthrough immediately every time you get stuck or aren't sure what you're supposed to be doing.. While it looks like an interesting game, I personally couldn't get into it. The developer seems like a very decent guy though so give it a shot if you want to immerse yourself into the Myst style of gaming where you enter a world with very little knowledge and have to learn from the notes and journals left by the people who previously inhabited the compound (with their different personalities and as stated by the dev, varying levels of education).. Definitely a tad above the average horror adventure game in indie space. Needed a walkthrough to make it through several spots but overall very enjoyable-kudos to the developers.. If you like point click, slightly difficult puzzles, good story line up until the end...but I give it a solid 5/10. Try to use your brain and not a walkthrough. I did use it once or twice though. Buy this if it's 4.99 or under and it will be worth it if you enjoy being a detective in your second life. This update allows you to press F1 instead to access the main menu. This update will ONLY work with NEW GAMES. It will not work with save games.
